Upon receipt, I discovered the skillet was not fully immersible for cleaning, however, keeping the bottom unit out of liquids was acceptable. When used skillet first time to prepare chicken appetizers, noted satisfactory heat distribution, did not stick to pan and satisfactory performance, but did note discoloration in the bottom of the cooking surface. When cleaning had to use stainless steel cleanser and noted scratch; I always use 'coated' spatulas, forks, turning devices in my stainless cookware, as was done this time. I immediately knew this skillet was too difficult to clean and scratched far too easily as I use the stainless steel cleanser infrequently on mystainless cookware. Round and the Precise Heat 16" Rectangular Skillets.I purchased them from an alternative online seller on Sears.com to compare them and return the one I liked less - but found out after receiving them that there was a %15 restocking fee as well as $28 return shipping charges - so I decided just to keep them both. My point is, know who you are buying from. Amazon is great, the alternative sellers on here...read the fine print. And NEVER order from alternative sellers on Sears.com., becuase you can not simply drop off items you want to return.
